Mr. Kelly is an accomplished trial attorney concentrating his
practice in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Civil
Litigation, Employee Rights and Workers Compensation. After
graduating from the University of Iowa Law School, with Honors, Mr.
Kelly practiced for six years for a large insurance defense firm in
a metropolitan area where he honed his trial and litigation skills. Since coming to central Illinois in 1995, Mr. Kelly has represented
the rights of the injured and victims of medical negligence in
almost every county in Illinois. He has tried countless cases
to verdict, including a Wrongful Death/Medical Malpractice claim with
a
record verdict for the county. He has also obtained
settlements for his clients in excess of one million dollars. Mr. Kelly is a well respected
litigator who has numerous reported Appellate decisions in Illinois,
Wisconsin and the Federal Court that have established significant
rights for workers and victims of negligence. He has argued
before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for the
Seventh Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Kelly was born in Camden, New Jersey, in 1962 and
graduated from Kutztown University in 1985 with his Bachelor of Arts.
In 1989, he graduated with his J.D., with distinction, from the
University of Iowa and was also admitted to the Wisconsin Bar and the
U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
In 1995, he was admitted to the Illinois Bar, the U.S. Court of
Appeals, Seventh Circuit, Illinois and U.S. District Court, Northern,
Southern and Central Districts of Illinois. Mr. Kelly is the
author of “Condition Verses Cause: A Doctrine Whose Time Has Passed?”
published in the Illinois Bar Journal, Vol. 84, in March 1996.
Finally, Mr. Kelly, is an active member of the McLean County and
Illinois State Bar Associations, as well as the Illinois Trial Lawyers
Association. |
