Mr.
Cagle joined the law offices of Thomson and Weintraub in August of
2005. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Family Law,
Criminal Defense, and Traffic/DUI. Prior to joining Thomson and
Weintraub, Mr. Cagle clerked at the Kane County State's Attorney's
Office.
Mr. Cagle was born in Champaign, Illinois. He
earned his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University in 2002, and received
his J.D., magna cum laude, from Northern Illinois University College
of Law in 2005.
While attending law school, Mr. Cagle served as
Assistant Editor of the Northern Illinois Law Review and competed at the 2004 John Marshall International Moot Court Competition
on Information Technology and Privacy Law. Mr. Cagle received
the Frances Mays Prize for outstanding achievement in Criminal Law,
Criminal Procedure and Evidence.
Mr. Cagle is the author of "Have Kids, Might Travel:
The Need for a New Roadmap in Illinois Relocation Cases,"
published in the Spring 2005 edition of the Northern Illinois
University Law Review. Mr. Cagle also co-authored (with
Professor Jeffrey A. Parness) "Guiding Civil Case Settlement
Conferences and Their Aftermath: The Need to Amend Illinois
Supreme Court Rule 218," published in the Spring 2004
edition of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal.
Mr. Cagle is admitted to the Illinois Bar and is an
active member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State
Bar Association.
